  1. Why was the seventh day different than the first six days? Answer: God rested on the seventh day.

    2. "And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made" (Gen. 2:2).

  2. What did God do to the seventh day? Answer: He sanctified it, set it apart from other days.

    3. "And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made." (Gen. 2:3).

  3. How was the earth watered before God caused it to rain? Answer: A mist went up from the earth and watered the ground.

    4. "But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground" (Gen. 2:6).
